About the Author

A native of El Salvador, Joaquin came to North America at the impressionable age of sixteen in the early eighties. He has spent most of his adult life in the province of Alberta, Canada where he currently lives with his wife, children and grandchildren.

In his first 15 years after arriving in North America, Joaquin had to overcome the many challenges that every immigrant experiences. Some of those challenges included learning a new language, overcoming culture barriers and having a lack of formal education, all while raising his three young daughters. It was also during this time he experienced great financial stress. Joaquin learned many valuable lessons, which he is now willing and able to share with the rest of the world through this book.

Joaquin highly regards education and even though he only has a diploma in Civil Engineering at this time, he encourages everyone to acquire the highest level of education possible. The education that he obtained taught him how to use his mind to think creatively, enabling him to come up with unique solutions to challenging problems. However, he credits all the success in his life in finding Jesus Christ as his savior.
